About the Role

SHEQ Site Coordinator

reports directly to the Head of SHEQ and plays a key role in delivering operational excellence across these areas.

Acting as the independent voice of SHEQ on site, the role ensures that standards are consistently applied, people are protected, and processes are continuously improved. Although embedded within the site, the SHEQ Site Coordinator operates independently of production, providing an impartial and proactive presence that champions our culture of

zero harm, zero defects, and zero environmental breaches

The role works closely with the Site or Factory Manager and Shift Managers to align with operational goals, while also liaising with key support teams including maintenance, logistics, QA, and H&S. It interfaces with staff at all levels on the shop floor, building strong relationships to

drive engagement

Key Responsibilities



Safety



Conduct daily safety checks across all operational zones Monitor PPE usage and report unsafe behaviours or hazards Ensure RAMS, permits, and signage are current and visible Coordinate toolbox talks and safety briefings Assist with accident/incident scene preservation and evidence gathering Report near misses and unsafe conditions into the SHEQ system Escalate repeat violations or unsafe conditions immediately

Health



Conduct weekly welfare inspections (canteen, toilets, break areas) Monitor these areas for signs of neglect, overcrowding, or inadequate conditions affecting wellbeing Support on-site DSE checks and wellbeing initiatives Observe hygiene, housekeeping, and cross-contamination controls Assist in coordination of drug & alcohol testing events

Environment



Conduct weekly checks of spill kits, waste storage, and hazardous material handling Ensure waste segregation, COSHH compliance, and correct labelling Log and escalate environmental incidents or non-conformances Check external areas for pollution risks (e.g. oil leaks, drainage) Support environmental data collection and monthly reporting

Quality



Conduct daily CTQ checks aligned with control plans Audit despatch for label compliance and documentation Assist with internal NCR logging and basic root cause notes Monitor SOP and work instruction compliance on live lines Escalate unauthorised deviations or repeated product failures Support visual inspections and product checks pre-despatch Act as the site's quality gatekeeper

Reporting and Documentation



Complete daily walkaround reports and checklist submissions Log findings using iAuditor/SafetyCulture Submit weekly summary reports to Head of SHEQ Participate in monthly site SHEQ reviews Attend daily SHEQ pulse meetings Record attendance and feedback from toolbox talks

Essential Criteria



Minimum of 2 years' experience in a quality control, safety, or compliance-related role (preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings) Minimum of GCSE-level education (or equivalent) IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to complete in role) Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of safety, quality, and environmental principles Proven ability to challenge constructively and remain impartial Valid UK Driving Licence

Desirable Criteria



Experience in manufacturing, QA, logistics, or warehousing Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001 standards Experience using iAuditor or similar audit software Trained First Aider or Fire Marshal Previous experience logging NCRs or audit findings

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday



Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 per annum
