Operational Resilience Specialist:
We are looking for an organised and operational minded individual to support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of resilience and continuity strategies across the organisation, working collaboratively with both IT and Business functions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational needs and recovery objectives.
The successful candidate will support the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager in the delivery of Business Continuity Management framework for all Ageas UK locations and administration of business continuity processes and best practices
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain and update BC/Resilience policies, plans, and documentation
Ensure recovery objectives and impact tolerances are met.
Collaborate with IT on continuity testing and disaster recovery planning.
Support crisis response, recovery site operations, and return-to-normal activities.
Report on test outcomes and continuity issues.
Promote Operational Resilience and Business Continuity awareness, training, and communications across Ageas.
Ensure compliance with Group policy and regulatory requirements.
Conduct business impact analyses and risk assessments.
Design and implement effective continuity mechanisms and procedures.
Oversee the effective execution of Disaster Recovery testing ensuring that the plans support both recovery point and recovery time objectives and that plans are updated in response to issues found during testing.
Skills and experience:
Experience of Business Continuity Management, planning and testing within the financial sector.
Experience of Operational Resilience & Business Continuity aligned to Regulatory guidelines/principles.
CBCI qualification, or equivalent is desirable.
A demonstrable understanding of the BCM Lifecycle.
Experience of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity controls, in particular those relating to business process, governance, risk and education.
Good communication skills both verbally and in writing with good questioning and listening skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to talk comfortably and knowledgeably with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, business partners, audit functions.
Experience in dealing with external stakeholders.
Good decision-making skills, strong team working, collaborative, proactive, planning and organisation skills
