Description:
Reporting to the ForexClear Senior Operational Risk Manager, the role will be responsible in supporting the business to ensure a consistent implementation of the Operational Risk framework across the ForexClear service. The role will have access to key operational risk information to be able to assess and monitor the risk profile of the service and to monitor the risk appetite relevant mitigation actions and related programmes. A key focus of the role is it to main a strong control environment and promote a risk culture of excellence. Due to this, the role will assist challenging operational risk positions that do not have sufficient evidence to meet ForexClear's high standard, be within risk appetite or meet regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
Supports ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk, identifying areas of risk exposures and escalating changes as appropriate
Analyses and interprets data to draft regular reports for stakeholders, identifying risks outside appetite
Completes routine risk reporting and production of management information to support decision making
Adheres to applicable risk control frameworks, polices and procedures in scope of own role
Ensures internal databases and systems are kept up to date
Supports the team to deliver risk projects and activities.
Tasks could involve:
Support the team to develop Extreme But Plausible Stress Scenarios that keep challenging our approach to Operational resilience.
Assist in raising awareness of the risk framework and in embedding a culture of operational risk excellence.
Assist in ensuring business initiatives or changes to systems are fully assessed and managed in line with policy.
Feed into Risk and Control Assessment (RCA)
Assess and develop ForexClear Key Risk Indicators library
Help continuously develop the ForexClear Operational Risk inventories to reflect ForexClear strategy to reduce manual intervention.
Ensure lessons learnt from projects, audit points, deep dives and scenarios are shared across ForexClear
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Will have a minimum of degree level qualification or equivalent experience
Organised and methodical, can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Able to make valuable contributions in a considered and diplomatic manner.
Strong analytical skills coupled with ability to evaluate information accurately and communicate findings
