We are excited to announce a rewarding opportunity to lead the Logistics and Supply Chain Team as the Operational Supply Chain Manager at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, based at Cumberland infirmary, Carlisle.
The post provides leadership and support to all system users across the Trust, and provide day to day management to the Operational Supply Chain Team including Materials Management Assistants across both the ward and theatre areas.
The position manages staff across two acute sites - Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.
The Operational Supply Chain Manager will hold super user rights to all key systems including NHSSC and the Atticus Stock Management System, and provide training support services to the Supply Chain Team across both ward and theatre departments
The Operational Supply Chain Manager will provide a high quality logistics service and oversee comprehensive materials management/ back office support for the supply chain function.
The role will include manging the day to day running of the supply chain service including ensuring that all 'daily duties' are covered as required in order to maintain high service levels.
The postholder will manage staff across two acute sites across all areas where a materials management service is provided. The postholder will manage all aspects of requirements and development including:
All aspects of staff management - annual leave, staff sickness, and establishing and maintaining effective reporting systems and taking action in line with Trust Policy
Training & Development
Service development in line with the NHS and best practice.
