Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Job Purpose:

The role is within the Asset Servicing group which is a high profile function and part of the Market Operations division. Asset Servicing is represented Globally across the NAM, EMEA and APAC regions and has responsibility for processing Corporate Actions and Income events for Firms and client\xe2\x80\x99s positions. It is one of the most interesting areas within operations having connections with multiple departments.

The role is an individual contributor role to perform functions relating to Income

reconciliations (Dividends) for Asset Servicing. The role will report directly into the team supervisor and will be responsible for continuing to strengthen the experience within the teams whilst enhancing risk and control frameworks, aligning to company strategy and vision. The core function of the role is to ensure cash entitlements resulting from client repo away coupons are reflected correctly to our clients in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of dividends for ASPAC regions.
  • Regular communication with trading desk, corporate actions and clients
  • with focus on high client service, covering all dividend and stock borrow/loan issues.
  • Review cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as appropriate.
  • Enhance our client experience by identifying process improvements to increase the automation of daily processes.
  • Perform daily reconciliation using \xe2\x80\x9cin-house systems\xe2\x80\x9d, preventing exposure and billing differences.
  • Complete reconciliations for clients where differences have been identified.
  • Complete end of day checks against a daily exposure report in line with our audit requirements.
  • Timely updating and completion of MIS control reporting to management.
  • Daily management of exceptions relating to Asset Servicing Income events ensuring prompt clearance and narration.
  • Participates in system testing and requirement sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in financial institutions would be an advantage.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology.
  • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise.
  • Strong risk management and control mind-set; understanding of the critical risks and necessary controls related to corporate action processing.
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business with a clear client orientation.
  • Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
  • Ability to conceptualize aspects of the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s model and its future development.
Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy.
