The role:
The Operations Consultancy Team are a vital part of a specialised team, focused on enhancing Partner Practices' infrastructure and process.
The Operations Consultancy team is made up of Consultant's that have expert knowledge in either HR, Operational Excellence, or Business Processing who together will be able to help Practices improve their overall business performance.
Using a range of knowledge, skills and tools they will support Partners and Practice Managers to develop the effectiveness of business operations within Partner practices with growth potential; they create sharper focus on the things that matter, optimise use of Partnership resources, and generate productivity through increased efficiency.
HR Consultants provide specialist, complex advice to support Partner businesses on all aspects of human resource management. Their support is delivered through face to face and virtual consultation.
What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure risk and compliance requirements are met on client outcomes, with regular reviews
  • Delivering the Partner HR service for the medium & HNW segment in alignment with overall SJP Partner "offer"
  • Supporting the implementation of the "model office(s)" for priority businesses
  • Provide an efficient and single point of contact to all medium & HNW segment services across SJP
  • To provide expert advice to Partner businesses on all aspects of human resources management. To help them manage their workforce effectively, improve engagement and guide on employment law and regulation with the aim of maximising efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support growth of HNW practices and capability working with proposition team and advisers
  • Ensure Partner sentiment targets are met based on service / engagement
  • Provide HR consultancy services to high priority Partners to optimise performance
  • Deliver appropriate and relevant on-site and virtual consultancy support to Partnership businesses focused on long-term business goals.
  • Deliver HR support to Partnership businesses focused on long-term business goals; strategic and tactical observations; and insights and recommendations to Practice's for improvement/growth
  • Utilise available resources to identify key quality shortfalls and seek to form solutions to address these
  • Understands I&D principles to drive better business outcomes, embedding these into business processes
Nature and Scope of Impact:
  • The Operations Consultant provides a critical role, requiring a sustained emphasis on maintaining, planning, and executing operation consultancy direct to the Partnership.
  • Scope to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the Partnership through effective consultancy.
  • Delivering professional assistance to the Partnership via surgeries, training and one-off meetings to ensure the whole Partnership benefits from the Operations Consultancy Team.
Who we're looking for:
Job Knowledge:
  • Detailed and technical understanding of all aspects of HR management, from guiding on employment law to consulting on culture and engagement.
  • AbIe to demonstrate the ability to identify and guide on a wide range of complex employee relations issues, advising upon the associated risks
  • Able to identify learning needs, designing and delivering engaging development solutions and materials.
  • In-depth understanding of internal SJP processes and the most effective way in which to implement them.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Partnership, its motivations, business structures, and culture.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to proactively prioritise and manage workload with minimum levels of supervision.
