About the Role
We are seeking an independent, proactive, and highly organised Operations
Coordinator to provide maternity cover for a key role at Bubbles & Bins. This position
plays a central part in managing nationwide field operations, supporting our team of
Refuse Collection & Maintenance Operatives across the UK.
The ideal candidate will be confident working autonomously while also maintaining
close collaboration with colleagues at sister company, Finest Retreats.
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of five Refuse Collection &
Maintenance Operatives, ensuring routes run efficiently, customers are supported,
and operational standards remain high.
About Bubbles & Bins
Bubbles & Bins, sister company to 'Finest Retreats' are a small, family-run business
who specialise in holiday home waste collections and maintenance.
Based in Cornwall and operating across several major UK holiday regions - including
North Wales, South Wales, Cornwall, the Lake District, and Yorkshire - we offer an
end-to-end service that supports holiday property owners, letting agents, and
landlords with both waste collections and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Route & Team Management
Coordinate daily routes and schedules for five drivers, using route planning software.
Maintain efficient route planning, ensuring cost-effective scheduling and excellent customer service.
Manage and support a team of five refuse collectors operating nationally.
Source additional maintenance work for the team to ensure their diary is full each week.
Invoicing
Operational Oversight
Review weekly pickups and raise invoices for any collections or additional services.
Onboard new waste clients, ensuring they receive full service information and are set up correctly in our systems.
Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Arrange and manage fleet insurance, ensuring policies are accurate and up to date.
Implement and oversee vehicle-checking protocols
Order equipment, PPE, and clothing for drivers as required, in line with H&S requirements.
Support broader marketing campaigns and operational initiatives.
Client & Business Development
Build relationships with new clients, particularly in developing service areas.
Respond to incoming enquiries and convert them into scheduled jobs.
Help ensure that each van achieves maximum route efficiency and revenue potential.
About You
Highly organised, confident working independently with limited supervision.
Strong communicator who also enjoys working closely with colleagues.
Experience managing remote or field-based teams (preferred).
Comfortable using sometimes complex scheduling or routing software (full training will be given).
Problem-solver with a practical approach and strong attention to detail.
Customer-focused, professional, and able to handle enquiries efficiently.
