Operations Coordinator
to support the daily delivery of our services and help us maintain high standards of reliability and care.
Main Purpose of the Role
You will assist in the coordination and smooth running of our daily transport operations across multiple service lines. From managing school run logistics to handling last-minute route changes, you'll be central to ensuring our passengers -- particularly vulnerable children -- receive safe, timely, and professional transport.
Key Responsibilities
1. SEN Transport
Manage day-to-day school transport scheduling and logistics.
Liaise with councils, passenger assistants (PAs), parents, and drivers in real time.
Track crew attendance and monitor performance via our in-house systems.
2. Circuit Bookings
Handle incoming bookings and assign vehicles and drivers accordingly.
Maintain clear communication with customers regarding schedules and changes.
3. General Administration
Monitor and respond to inbox messages and operational queries.
Provide daily administrative support to the wider operations team.
4. Customer Service & Satisfaction
Respond to customer complaints and concerns professionally.
Log and escalate feedback to support service improvement.
5. Compliance & Safety
Support compliance with all transport regulations and licensing standards.
Promote a safety-first culture and report incidents promptly.
Essential Requirements
Experience in a transport operations or logistics environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong IT literacy (Excel, transport booking or scheduling systems).
Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and solve problems quickly.
Punctual, reliable, and organised.
Desirable
Knowledge of SEN transport, local authority contracts or PATS training.
Previous experience working with cab firms, school routes, or minibus fleets.
