Jon Baines Tours is a leading provider of specialised and unique study tours. Trusted and highly experienced, JBT has run fully escorted medical, professional and cultural tours and cruises around the world since 2007. The tours are led by handpicked tour leaders who are experts in their field.

Based in London and Melbourne, we curate small-group experiences that inspire and educate healthcare professionals and culturally curious travelers.

With a family-owned ethos and a passionate team, we combine our love of travel with exceptional expertise. Our co-owners, Jon and Karen, lead the business from the Australian office and we have a small London team, within which this role will sit.

We are looking for a solid operations professional to integrate into our close-knit team.

You will be a self-starter and a highly organised operations executive with excellent attention to detail. You will work closely with your colleagues in a small operations team comprising the operations manager (London based) and another operations executive (Melbourne based). This role could suit a recent graduate.

This is a full-time role within our South London office.

Do you love travel? Are you a travel professional with operations experience, or relevant operations experience in another field? Are you a self-starter with a can-do attitude? Do you delight at the idea of making an immediate difference within a small, responsive company? Do you take ownership for mistakes and turn them into an opportunity to learn and course correct? Are you a good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills? Are you highly organised, able to follow process, with meticulous attention to detail? Are you proactive and able to take ownership of your role? Are you educated to degree level, or equivalent? Are you proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Hubspot? Are you fluent in English (second language a plus)? Are you able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment? An extra bonus if you are you familiar with the travel, education, or healthcare sectors.

What would you be responsible for?



As Operations Executive, you will manage tours and conferences all around the world and oversee the operational process by liaising with agents, clients, visa specialists, hotels and airlines to make sure the tours run smoothly.

You must be customer focused and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a key player in a small company and will be expected to be proactive, committed and able to use their own initiative. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to negotiate is required.

The role includes overseas travel and visits to trade shows.

This is a junior position within the company but with lots of room to grow and learn. The salary is based on experience.

Key responsibilities:



Overseeing the operational process of international tours Management of small events from start to finish Budget management Project and logistics planning Liaising with suppliers and clients Processing payments/invoicing
