Overview
We're excited to be looking for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused
Operations Manager
to join our fast-growing B2B construction marketplace,
MaterialsPro
, based at our Sheffield HQ.
As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for supporting trade customers across sectors such as
Fit Out, Drylining, General Construction, Residential Development, and Landscaping
.
Working with our B2B customers, you'll ensure every order and delivery is executed smoothly and professionally, becoming the single point of contact for their operational needs. This role requires daily communication with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners, along with real-time problem solving and strong attention to detail. You'll manage everything from project-specific support to delivery coordination, ensuring a frictionless customer experience.
This role is based full-time in our Sheffield office. You must be able to commute daily to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate directly with B2B trade customers across email, phone, and WhatsApp.
Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure every order is fulfilled accurately and on time.
Track active jobs and oversee each stage of the delivery process.
Provide consistent, high-quality service as the single point of contact for ongoing Key Account operations.
Support large and complex orders, working closely with merchants and distributors for smooth coordination.
Deliver timely updates to customers and take a proactive approach to delivery management.
Ideal Experience
3+ years' experience in the construction sector in a customer-facing or service-led role.
Strong knowledge of building materials and familiarity with merchant or distributor processes.
Confident working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
A good understanding of the commercial build process from end to end.
Must be comfortable and enthused about working with technology and digital solutions.
