We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and drive strategic initiatives within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in management, financial acumen, management, and procurement. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, enhancing process improvements, and achieving overall business objectives.
This is a fundamental role in running the business alongside the MD. It would suit a warehouse manager currently in a broad role looking to progress their career into a wider diverse commercial role. As the role is extremely wide ranging, some experience within financial management and procurement would be highly regarded. There will be a long and extensive training and coaching programme in place for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage and supervise the Warehouse Team through a Warehouse Manager to drive efficiency within the warehouse operation.
Lead, manage and supervise the Administration Team to ensure efficiency within the sales order process and to foster a collaborative work environment.
Be responsible for all procurement activities of the business and supplier relationships.
Also responsible for ISO:9001, Health & Safety, HR and regulatory procedures and policies within the business.
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise efficiency and productivity.
Have significant involvement in the senior management team to contribute towards the continued financial health of the organisation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
Collaborate with the Sales Team to align operational capabilities with business development efforts.
Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management on operational performance.
Skills
Warehouse Management essential
Strong mathematical skills and experience in financial management and product management preferred.
Strong Management and Leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate diverse teams effectively.
Supervising experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Expertise in process improvement methodologies to streamline operations.
