Our Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimising all day-to-day warehouse and installation activities to ensure operational excellence across service, quality, and productivity. Working closely with the Head of Operations, this role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, achieving performance targets, and delivering a best-in-class experience for CareCo customers.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo's Braintree Site.

What are my responsibilities?

Oversee and coordinate the receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods to meet service and quality standards. Ensure that warehouse operations and home installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes. Manage vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure all delivery vehicles meet legislative and safety standards. Monitor performance and achieve agreed KPIs across all operational areas, reviewing regularly to identify opportunities for improvement. Support the Head of Operations on key projects and future planning. Coordinate the use of automated and computerised warehouse systems, achieving super-user level competency. Produce and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and statistics for review by the Senior Leadership Team. Monitor space utilisation and mechanical handling equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with budgetary and environmental targets. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance service, reduce waste, and drive cost efficiency. Maintain clear and timely communication with internal departments, suppliers, and external partners. Uphold and promote CareCo's policies, standards, and company vision across all operational activities.
What qualifications & skills are required of me?

5 years minimum experience in Warehouse Management with end-to-end responsibility, including multi-disciplinary teams. GCSEs or equivalent in English & Maths grade 4 or above. IOSH Managing safely. Full UK Driving Licence. Forklift Licence. Track record of delivering pick accuracy, stock integrity and productivity targets. Strong H&S culture. Strong People Management skills. Demonstrate understanding of H&S legislation. Data driven decision making. Demonstrates ability to be approachable, fair and consistent. Resilient and solutions focused.
