The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the full operational delivery of Muslim Giving. Reporting directly to the Founders of Muslim Giving, this role combines strategic partnership (acting as a thought partner and advisor to the founders), operational leadership (managing systems, processes, and staff), and business development (building revenue streams, partnerships, and community engagement).
You will:
Oversee day-to-day operations and program delivery.
Manage platform development (front and back end).
Scale advertising, partnerships, and sponsorship revenue.
Support charity onboarding, donor/fundraiser services, and Crowd Giving approvals.
Lead multimedia and communications to strengthen brand and reach.
Ensure compliance, governance, and operational excellence across all entities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Partnership with Founders
Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Founders of MuslimGiving.
Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring strategic goals are executed effectively across all entities.
Represent Muslim Giving at industry events, international summits, and community forums.
Provide insights, reports, and recommendations for high-level decisions.
2. Operations Oversight & Efficiency
Oversee daily operations across MuslimGiving, CrowdGiving
Ensure smooth functioning, workflow optimisation, and cross-organisational alignment.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational systems and resource allocation.
Monitor risks and implement compliance and mitigation strategies.
3. Platform & Technology Management
Oversee front-end and back-end platform development with internal and external developers.
Manage the Muslim Giving Admin Dashboard, including:
Crowd Giving approvals and fundraising campaigns.
Charity onboarding and payment processing.
Donations, Gift Aid, and recurring giving tools.
Fundraising pages, teams, and events.
Donor data, analytics, and reporting.
Featured campaigns, CSR initiatives, and website content.
Ensure platform scalability, security, and user experience.
4. Program Implementation & Support
Coordinate delivery of key programs and fundraising campaigns across multiple entities.
Provide operational support to program teams, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
Align fundraising initiatives across partner organisations to maximise impact.
Manage resources, staffing, and program budgets effectively.
5. Business Development & Partnerships
Scout and onboard new charities, mosques, and community organisations.
Build long-term relationships with charity partners and stakeholders.
Collaborate on seasonal fundraising strategies (Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah, emergency campaigns).
Develop corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
Support up-selling and cross-selling of platform services and advertising.
6. Growth, Advertising & Campaign Management
Manage and scale Muslim Giving's advertising contracts and partner campaigns.
Oversee ad campaign performance across Google, Meta, TikTok, and other platforms.
Lead contract management, optimisation, and reporting for advertising packages.
Drive donor acquisition and retention strategies to support growth.
7. Multimedia & Communications Oversight
Lead the multimedia and communications team, ensuring consistent branding across entities.
Oversee development and approval of digital content, assets, and media materials.
Align communications with operational and fundraising goals.
Strengthen Muslim Giving's reputation and thought leadership in the digital fundraising space.
8. Leadership, Reporting & Compliance
Lead, mentor, and manage operational staff across entities.
Provide performance reports and analytics to the Founders and senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with Charity Commission, HMRC Gift Aid, AML/CTF, GDPR, and safeguarding.
Foster a culture of accountability, ethical fundraising, and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
7-10 years of leadership in operations, business development, or digital platforms.
Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations and program delivery.
Strong knowledge of platform development (front-end and back-end).
Experience in scaling advertising, partnerships, and revenue growth.
Proven experience in team leadership, workflow optimisation, and compliance.
Strong financial acumen, resource management, and reporting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience across multiple organisations/entities.
Knowledge of the charity/non-profit sector and Islamic charitable values (sadaqah, zakat, waqf).
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (PMP preferred).
Fluency in additional languages, particularly Arabic.
