Working within Lanes Group you will be working within our Sapphire Utility Solutions division, operating on the Yorkshire Water Wastewater Service Agreement (WwSA) Contract.



We are currently recruiting for an

Operations Manager

who will provide strategic and operational leadership across all non-civils workstreams within our Yorkshire Water Delivery Frameworks, including Jetting / Tankering, CCTV, Sewer Lining, and Patch Lining. This role is accountable for the successful delivery of proactive wastewater maintenance programmes issued by Yorkshire Water, as well as supporting our client across their Reactive Response with Resilience teams and expertise. The role must support in ensuring safety, compliance, performance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved. The Operations Manager will lead a team of Project Managers and Supervisors, driving collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Working Hours & Location




Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week Location: Bradford and surrounding regional areas 55,000 - 62,000 Salary Company Car / Car allowance 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

The Role:




Programme & Delivery Oversight:




Lead the planning and execution of all Non-Civils maintenance programmes, ensuring delivery against time, cost, quality, and compliance targets. Oversee the coordination of Jetting, CCTV, Sewer Lining, and Patch Lining activities, ensuring outputs meet Yorkshire Water's technical and formatting standards. Work closely with internal planning teams to optimise resource allocation and scheduling across multiple concurrent projects. Support Yorkshire Water during periods of peak volume and high demand, with varying levels of Resilience Support teams Ensure all works are delivered in line with Yorkshire Water's specifications and industry best practices.



Commercial & Financial Awareness:




Monitor and work within operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery and value for money. Collaborate with commercial team to track performance, manage both in house cost and subcontractor spend, and support procurement strategies. Drive a compliant service offering to ensure that there is limited cost of failure across operational delivery and quality



Leadership & People Development:




Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Supervisors, fostering a high performance culture. Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and support professional development across the team. Promote collaboration across functions and encourage innovation in delivery methods and technology adoption.
