to oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of our scaffolding division. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in scaffolding or construction operations, and a deep understanding of safety, logistics, and team management. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the scaffolding division, including labour allocation, equipment management, and project scheduling
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements
Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to deliver scaffolding solutions on time and within scope
Manage and develop operational staff, including foremen, scaffolders, and logistics personnel
Monitor and manage budgets, resource allocation, and inventory levels
Plan and implement operational procedures and systems to optimise efficiency and productivity
Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and certification of scaffolding equipment
Prepare and deliver reports on performance, safety incidents, and project progress to senior management
Support tendering and estimating processes by providing technical input and operational insights
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience (5+ years) in scaffolding, construction, or industrial services, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems (tube and fitting, system scaffolds, etc.) and relevant standards (e.g., TG20, NASC guidelines)
Valid scaffold inspection certification (e.g., CISRS Advanced, or equivalent)
Demonstrated understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, HSE)
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational/project management software
Desirable:
Relevant degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
Knowledge of scaffolding design principles and ability to read technical drawings
Working Conditions:
Office-based with regular visits to job sites
May require occasional travel and flexibility with working hours based on project needs
