The Role
As Operations, Marketing & Sales Lead, you'll sit at the heart of the organisation--responsible for designing and streamlining the systems that power our work, while also leading our marketing and communications efforts that deliver sales.
You'll work closely with the founder to ensure programmes run smoothly, leadership teams are supported, and our message reaches the right audiences. It's a multi-disciplinary role ideal for someone with a startup mindset: operationally sharp, marketing-savvy, and purpose-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Operations (40%)
Programme Delivery Support--Manage the day-to-day logistics of programme delivery, including learner onboarding, scheduling, and coordination with partners and facilitators.
Process Improvement--Design and implement systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures to improve internal efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
Tool Management--Own our operations and communications tech stack, ensuring tools are used effectively.
Compliance & Reporting--Support GDPR compliance, safeguarding intellectual property, and program reporting. Maintain data dashboards to monitor operational KPIs.
Team Enablement--Support internal comms, onboarding, and documentation to help our growing team stay connected and aligned.
Marketing (30%)
Content & Campaigns--Create and manage content across channels (email, social, web, print) to grow awareness and engagement.
Brand Voice & Storytelling--Help shape our tone of voice and tell compelling stories about our impact, partners, and people.
Event & Partnership Marketing--Promote our programmes and thought leadership at events, with partners, and via digital campaigns.
Website & Analytics--Maintain our website and track marketing performance, adjusting strategy based on data and insight.
Sales & Business Development (30%)
Business Development--Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with employers, public sector agencies, and mission-aligned organisations.
Client Management--Manage inbound and outbound outreach, proposal writing, and client relationship development.
Scale Infrastructure--Help build a scalable sales pipeline using CRM tools and performance tracking.
About You
4+ years of experience in operations, marketing, or generalist startup roles.
Comfortable managing systems, logistics, and communications simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident producing content and messaging.
Strong tech literacy--familiar with tools like Canva, HubSpot, AI, or similar.
Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and commitment to social impact.
Nice to Have
Experience in workforce development, education, or social innovation.
Understanding of inclusive communications and ethical marketing practices.
Experience in B2B sales or partnership development.
Experience scaling processes and brand presence in an early-stage startup.
