Harrison Associates is seeking a proactive, organised and technology-confident
Operations & Systems Support Assistant
to join our Operations team in Chorley.
This is a varied and practical role supporting the smooth running of systems, data, and business processes across the organisation -- including Case Management, Expert Witness, HR, Finance and IT projects. Occasionally, you will assist in external-facing coordination such as client events, conferences, and liaison activities, under the direction of the relevant manager.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Systems Administration
Maintain and update key Excel trackers, registers, and SharePoint libraries.
Support implementation of digital tools and processes within Microsoft 365.
Assist with data accuracy, permissions management, and documentation control.
Prepare operational reports and materials for meetings and audits.
Liaise with IT providers (e.g. BCN) to support smooth system performance.
Cross-Team Coordination
Provide administrative support across Operations, HR, Finance, and Service Lines as needed.
Help coordinate training, onboarding, and compliance documentation.
Record actions, produce clear minutes, and follow up on outstanding items.
Maintain professional communication with colleagues and partners.
External & Event Support (Occasional)
Assist with preparation and logistics for conferences, exhibitions, and professional events.
Provide administrative and coordination support for customer-facing activities when requested (e.g. producing materials, maintaining schedules, managing information flow).
Represent the Operations function professionally when attending events or supporting front-line teams.
What We're Looking For
Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
Excellent organisation, accuracy, and communication skills.
Calm, logical, and proactive approach to work.
Friendly and professional manner with colleagues and external partners.
Willingness to travel occasionally for events or project support.
