The position - Operations Team Member:
We're now looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with outstanding time and workload management to join our small team in St Ives. This central role of the Operations team requires excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied and interesting workload ranging from reactive remedial work to proactive thinking and planning.
The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of multi-tasking and juggling a range of responsibilities with complete proficiency and will be used to providing a high level of customer service both over the telephone and by email. The right candidate will be able to work quickly yet thoroughly and have pride in their high level of accuracy.
Working alongside other team members within the Orange Roofs' Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring a fantastic guest experience throughout. By working with the other team members, the ideal candidate will understand and support the importance of relationships with guests, property owners, tradespeople and housekeeping firms and will have the confidence to be able to communicate with all these key stakeholders in what can be a fast paced environment.
Previous experience within an office environment is required and customer service experience is essential.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Planning and project management to ensure all areas of the guest experience and Operations team runs smoothly
Answering guest enquiries, taking bookings and offering helpful local information to guests
Assisting with the administration of ongoing maintenance for all properties in the Orange Roofs portfolio which means planning, arranging and ensuring all maintenance jobs are done in a timely manner
Maintaining an awareness of all operational activities and overseeing communications on occasions when other team members are out of the office on operational errands
Working with guests, owners, and tradespeople to overcome any issues whilst a guest is staying
Working as part of the Operations Team to ensure the guest has the best possible experience from first enquiry to when at the property
Day-to-day administration including booking in gas safety certificates, boiler services, PAT testing, chimney sweeps, reporting etc
Skills and experience:
Exceptional organisational skills as well as the ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Clear ability to be proactive and take initiative
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver a high level of customer care and problem-solve effectively
High attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong work ethic, integrity and ambition to succeed
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment with a can-do attitude
Previous hospitality/tourism experience

Full time job, Tuesday - Friday 9am until 5pm, Saturday 10am until 4pm
