Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting individual to join our team as an Operations Controller. This permanent role is ideal for someone with experience in an Operations Controller or similar role, ideally within transport or logistics. You will provide high-level support to the control and operations of the depot while ensuring excellent customer service from booking to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribute tasks to couriers fairly and transparently Accurately process bookings and provide clients with service information Oversee jobs from initiation to completion, with a focus on platinum clients Establish and uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Keep both clients and team members updated on any delays or issues Ensure the fleet is appropriately sized to meet client demands, especially during peak times

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in managing and surpassing customer expectations Proactive and able to work independently without constant supervision Strong communication skills with clients, couriers, and suppliers Exceptional organisational skills and punctuality Prior experience in the transport industry Good knowledge of geographical areas Competent with computer systems
