Position Summary

Due to continued growth and development, WRC is recruiting a Transport Controller to join the Transport team in support of our ongoing expansion in the Environmental industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sufficient support to the Transport department and must have experience working in a fast-paced Transport environment.

Duties

Assist the Transport department with the planning of inbound and outbound deliveries and collections whilst ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered at all times. Operate the weighbridge and input weights for tipping and collection when required. Arrange haulage services which often includes booking disposal sites and completing necessary paperwork. Provide administrative support to the Transport department in accordance with business requirements. Ensure all Drivers are provided with the appropriate paperwork prior to commencing all journeys and ensure paperwork is collected at the end of each shift. Dealing with sub-contractor bookings and enquiries Answering telephone enquiries to company standards and ensuring calls are delegated to the appropriate person Liaise with site staff on incoming and outgoing loads to ensure accurate recording of materials Taking necessary payments when required Additional tasks will be carried out as required by the line manager

Requirements of the role

Knowledge and understanding of Transport systems is essential Must be a self-motivated and highly organised General understanding of MS office applications would be beneficial Able to deliver excellent customer service when dealing with WRC customers
