We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Outdoor Nursery Leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and possess excellent leadership skills. This role requires effective communication with both children and staff, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for all.
Duties
Construct outdoor learning sessions for children at could include learning about nature, wood work or forest school type sessions.
Completing and following appropriate risk assessments
Keeping the outdoor environment clean and tidy
Following the Eco Schools Program.
Helping the children to interact with the animals which currently include chickens, goat and horse.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
Foster positive relationships with children, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that meets health and safety regulations.
Organise activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and exploration among children.
Monitor children's behaviour and development
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
Requirements
Outdoor qualifications is advantageous
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in WELSH and English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education.
Ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the nursery environment.
A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site events.
