We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Outdoor Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate must have a passion for outdoors and a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills. This role requires effective communication abilities to engage with staff, children, and parents, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.

Responsibilities

You will be required to lead the outdoor nursery team at the woods with one day indoors.

Manage the overall operations of the outdoor nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors. Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community. Monitor children's development, providing guidance to staff on best practices in childcare. Organise training sessions for staff to ensure ongoing professional development.

Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings. Ability to create engaging learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years. Strong organisational skills to manage daily operations efficiently. A genuine passion for outdoors, working with children and supporting their growth and development. Knowledge of current trends in early childhood education is advantageous.
