Pay:

15.50 per hour / 32,240 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday - Between 7:30am until 6:30pm

What being a Deputy Nursery Manager involves

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire your team while maintaining excellence in your base room responsibilities. You will:


Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy. Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality. Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care. Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children. Monitor and guide the team's implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging and nurturing learning opportunities. Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager's absence, ensuring smooth operations. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within your team. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.

About our Nursery

Set in the heart of Maidstone, Kent, our beautiful period nursery building is home to more than 80 children each day. With three outdoor spaces and five rooms, we're a popular and loved nursery for local Kent families. Inside our nursery, every corner is designed to inspire curiosity and foster growth. Bright and spacious interiors welcome children into a world of learning and play, filled with vibrant colours and cosy corners that encourage exploration and creativity. Townsend Montessori Nursery Maidstone is located is the town centre with great public transport links. The setting is located just off the A249 on Priory Road. Parking is available in the car park on Mill Street.
