We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Outpatient Nurse to join our dedicated team at Practice Plus Group.

You'll be part of a collaborative team providing high-quality outpatient and pre-assessment services, ensuring patients receive exceptional care and support from consultation through to treatment and follow-up.
This is a part-time role, working 18.5 hours a week over 2 days.

What you'll be doing
As our Outpatient Nurse, you'll play a key role in ensuring that our patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care throughout their outpatient journey.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing high standards of clinical care across outpatient clinics, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Supporting Ophthalmology clinics and assisting consultants in procedures and injections.
Undertaking patient assessments, care planning, and discharge arrangements with professionalism and empathy.
Managing pre-assessment clinics, ensuring patients are fully prepared and medically cleared for surgery.
Educating patients on their treatment and rehabilitation pathways, helping them feel confident and informed.
Supervising and mentoring junior nursing and healthcare staff to ensure consistent standards of care.
Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting audit and quality improvement initiatives.
You'll work closely with consultants, healthcare professionals, and administrative colleagues to ensure seamless, patient-focused service delivery.

What we'll look for in you
We're looking for a confident, caring, and proactive Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering excellence in patient care. You'll have:
Current NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse
Post-registration experience in an outpatient or pre-assessment setting.
Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills.
A patient-first mindset with strong attention to detail.
Confidence working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A flexible, positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
An interest or previous experience in Ophthalmology would be a distinct advantage, though training and support will be provided.

A full-time equivalent salary of up to 36,073 per annum depending on experience
