We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Wound care. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
Attend clinics as per rota supplied
Assure the operational running of the clinic, time keeping, etiquette and process
Ensure all key paperwork is completed for each clinic
Coordinate the surgeon, doctor, audiologist to ensure they are meeting the requirements
Follow the admission protocols to ensure only patients meeting the admission criteria are safely selected for surgery
Escalate concerns to medical practitioners immediately, in writing, and obtain responses for patient files
Perform any pre-operative screening, testing and paperwork as required.
To work hours flexibly and cover hours in evenings and weekends as planned
To learn and develop skills in pre and post operative wound care and theatre care practices
To develop and be competent in venepuncture
audit compliance with all CQC regulated outcomes.
Adhere to national legislation such as the Health and Social Care Act and the Health and Safety at Work Act and take action where standards are not in place.
To participate in training and education programmes for staff of all levels as and when required
To ensure that risk assessments are suitable and sufficient
To lead through example and foster a clinical culture of best standards and current practice and not merely national standards as detailed by The Care Quality Commission and Healthcare Inspectorate Wales
REGULATING COMISSIONER:
Responsibility to uphold and adhere to the guidance and required specification for registration with the Care Quality Commission/Healthcare Inspectorate Wales. Act as a registered manager for your workplace upon request and ensure clinical environment and patient safety are held as paramount.
INFECTION CONTROL
Ensure all company Infection Control policies are followed. Undertake audits and observe national guidance for reporting, managing and overall prevention of infection.
Contribute to collaborative working relationships and effective communications between all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Assist in the efficient and cost effective management of Clinical Stock.
Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines (health and safety, COSHH, risk assessment, fire regulations, infection control, decontamination, adverse events and complaints)
Be aware of and contribute to the clinical governance agenda. This includes participation in the annual risk assessment, implementing action plans and dealing with complaints as delegated and reporting any untoward incidents, within the agreed time frames.
Promote quality care and service through the use of best practice.
Research, initiate and evaluate new ideas to foster continuous improvement.
Ensure that any hazards in the clinic or Head Office are reported to the Registered Manager
Undertake Health and Safety training commensurate with role and conduct risk assessment develop action plans and implement these.
Skill's & Experience
The Registered Nurse is expected to be fully conversant with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and associated national guidelines and abide by their guidance.
Take responsibility for personal and professional updating and development, including mandatory training.
Regularly assess and evaluate practice by audit and implement change in a participative manner with nursing/business colleagues.
Maintain professional contemporaneous records at all times.
Participate in personal development review.
Maintain a high standard of personal behaviour and ensure effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, patients and relatives.
Have union/insurance cover - for example RCN membership.
Train for and take on Laser Protection Supervisor role for clinic (if appropriate).
The Registered Nurse is expected to be fully conversant with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and associated national guidelines and abide by their guidance
Proven experience in a nursing role is preferred; however, newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and care.
Previous experience in patient care settings will be advantageous
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Completion of audit / cleaning check lists / daily CQC clinical checks

Completion of receipt of lab results and delivering required patient treatment
Stock management
Respect for patients
Assure Full and proper consent of service users
Conduct all calls set on diary per day
Good record keeping via online system
Dealing with Complaints if faced with this situation
Implementation and audit of company policies, procedures and protocols
There is a requirement to take part in our 'out of hours' on-call service.
Maintain a professional manner
Provide support and assistance to patients if required relating to:
Dressing wounds
Promote privacy, dignity and respect
Excellent communication links between patient and other professionals
Conduct pre operative assessments, admission phone calls and wound care appointments as required and document all contact on electronic System
Complete baseline observations, Blood Pressure, Body temperature, Pulse, Oxygen saturation level, Blood monitoring each with appropriate training
Report any faulty appliances, damaged equipment or potential hazard
Ability to maintain accurate records, electronic records and good lines of communication.
Other duties as may be reasonably agreed and requested by management or colleagues
Attend regular appraisal/monitoring/supervision meetings with their line manager when required to do so.
Attend refresher training and occupational training sessions as appropriate.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current License
Minimum 1-2 years experience in clinical / hospital setting (Experience in both outpatient and in patient preferred)
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
Flexibility to rotate between departments and adapting to patient needs.
