Are you an enthusiastic and organised individual looking to make a real difference every day? Our welcoming Outpatients Department at Wexham Park Hospital is seeking a proactive Band 2 Receptionist to become a valued part of our friendly, multidisciplinary team.



In this key front-of-house role, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, helping us deliver a smooth, professional, and compassionate service. Previous administrative experience is essential , and you'll also need the flexibility to work varied hours in line with service needs.

To greet every patient in a pleasant, professional and calm manner, directing the patient within the correct location within Outpatients.



Complying with their requests where possible and where it is not possible to deal with them with dignity and respect.



To encourage patients in a polite manner to use self-check in machines where applicable, assisting as appropriate.



To ensure that clinic outcomes, including attendance, DNA's and their pathway status are recorded.



To be responsible for ensuring at the end of each outpatient session all clinics are closed and all requested workorders are completed.



To adhere to the Trust values.



To assist with the collection of Friends and Family surveys.



To assist with changes to workflows with new I.T. systems when implemented.



To be able to prioritise and demonstrate good time management.

To complete any administrative duties to a high standard as required, taking, recording and acting upon telephone messages and requests in a polite and helpful manner.



To ensure strict confidentiality is maintained at all times in respect of what is recorded on patient records.



To be adaptable and open to change.

To be multi-skilled in your working role as you may be expected to work across all outpatient reception locations currently under the Outpatient Directorate.
