Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, practical and adaptable individual to join a small team working from a busy and diverse rural Estate Office.

This role is a combination of PA to the Director and Office Assistant, providing administrative and operational support across multiple business activities.

Approximately 80% of the role will support the Director and wider business

operations, with the remaining 20% providing practical personal administrative

support to the Director and, occasionally, their family. Discretion, flexibility and a

hands-on approach are essential.

The Role



You will provide broad administrative and co-ordination support to the Director and

team, working across several business areas and bespoke, project-based activities.

The role suits someone who enjoys variety, is detail-focused and is happy to take

responsibility for seeing tasks through to completion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

General Administration



Administrative support across Farming, Forestry, Property Management, Fishing and Shooting operations Providing administrative and logistical support for bespoke, project-based work Maintaining accurate records and filing systems Project archiving and record keeping Project & Procurement Support Preparation and processing of orders Liaising with workshops, suppliers and external contractors Tracking orders, deliveries and project timelines Maintaining records and documentation for ongoing projects

Accounts



Payment of invoices Bank reconciliations Creating and issuing invoices to external customers Budget administration Debt collection Experience with Xero bookkeeping software would be an advantage

Responsibilities



Organising vehicle maintenance, insurance and upkeep of records Placing orders with suppliers Maintaining a worklist for the maintenance team Liaising with external contractors to book essential works Assisting with the annual insurance review and renewal

PA & Personal Support (approx. 20%)



Managing car insurance and vehicle-related administration Organising transport arrangements as required Ordering personal items (domestic) Selling items online via platforms such as eBay or Vinted Running general errands as required Using a company vehicle to deliver or collect parcels, as and when needed

Person Specification



Flexible, highly motivated and able to work using own initiative Practical, hands-on and comfortable with a varied workload Highly organised with strong attention to detail Mature, professional and trustworthy, with a high level of discretion Someone who will take ownership of the role and suggest improvements Good level of numeracy and high-quality written English Highly IT literate, ideally with experience of Word, Excel and other Microsoft packages Previous experience supporting project-based work, procurement or contractor liaison would be advantageous Knowledge or experience of farming, forestry or property management would be an advantage but is not essential

Specifics



Must hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to own vehicle, as the office

is in a rural location.

Salary starting at 30,000 per annum is negotiable dependent on experience and would be pro-rata for a part-time position
