Overview

To Your Home Ltd are a family-run online retail business based in Millhouse Green, near Thurlstone. We are a well-established local firm and are looking to expand our warehouse team to cater for increased sales.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Packaging Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the packaging process, ensuring that products are assembled and packaged efficiently and accurately. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various hand and power tools in a warehouse environment. This is a specialist role, and the successful candidate will need to be able to show a level of skill above those of a general Warehouse Assistant in the packaging process, in speed, efficiency and neatness.

Duties

Operate packaging machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production flow. Assemble products according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met. Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly and packaging tasks. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to prioritise packaging schedules and meet all relevant deadlines. Package and pick bespoke orders in a timely and efficient manner. Carry out basic warehouse duties when required.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Previous experience in a packaging role is essential, demonstrating familiarity with packaging processes. This could include roles in a retail warehouse, food packaging or manufacturing facility. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
