hands-on, ambitious, and mechanically minded person
to join our packaging team.
This is an
entry-level role
operating and maintaining our canning line -- but it comes with the opportunity to grow into an engineering-focused position within the brewery. Key Responsibilities
Operate the canning line, ensuring beer is packaged to the highest standards.
Monitor quality control checks including weights, fills, CO?, DO, and TPO readings.
Keep the packaging area clean and well maintained, following food hygiene standards.
Perform size and format changes on packaging equipment as needed.
Assist with cleaning in place (CIP) and other brewery cellaring tasks.
Support routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging equipment.
Keep accurate records and follow checklists for daily operations.
Move raw materials and finished product using pallet/forklift trucks.
Learn and contribute to creating/updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Mechanical and electrical maintenance of packaging equipment.
Process improvement and efficiency projects.
Working with suppliers on equipment upgrades and servicing.
Stock management and spare parts planning.
Broader brewery engineering responsibilities beyond packaging.
Experience & Skills
Essential
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and hands-on approach.
Practical/mechanical aptitude (comfortable with tools, fixing or tinkering).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
Good communication skills and a team-first mindset.
Basic IT/admin skills (Microsoft Office).
Physically fit (able to lift/move 25kg).
Desirable (but not required -- training will be provided)
Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or engineering.
Previous exposure to canning or bottling lines.
Basic mechanical/electrical repair skills.
Forklift licence.
