An exciting opportunity has become available to be part of a growing, vibrant Paediatric team within the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.
We are looking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Band 3 Clinical Support Worker /Play Specialist. Play is an integral and hugely valued element of care within the A&E environment and this role is vital and important in providing all round holistic care to children and their families.
Whilst taking on the role as the Paediatric Play Assistant you will also be expected to comply with the duties of a CSW when needed.
Our Paediatric Emergency Department within the main A&E includes; a triage room, 3 treatment rooms including a paediatric HDU and a safe room to see and safely assess children and young people with mental health presentations.
Candidates must have experience working with children and previous relevant training such as Level 3 childcare.
This post will be shift work but will not include night shifts to enable us to have cover of a play specialist more hours within the week
