Job Description

We're looking for a Paid Media Manager to join 71a and take a key role in the day-to-day delivery of Paid Media across our client base.This is a hands-on delivery role in a financial services-only performance agency, where we operate a 4-day working week because we prioritise output over hours.

You'll need autonomy, strong technical execution and clear communication. You'll build, manage and optimise campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, along with other relevant platforms, while strategic direction and commercial decisions remain with senior leadership.

The Role



You'll ensure Paid Media campaigns are accurate, stable, well-paced, and improving week to week, with minimal need for senior oversight.

You will:

Build, manage and optimise campaigns primarily across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, with Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads, plus other platforms where relevant. Carry out research and analysis to identify tactical improvements. Maintain accurate, consistent setups through strong QA and campaign hygiene. Ensure campaigns comply with platform policies and relevant financial services guidelines, escalating concerns early. Produce clear, concise performance reports with tactical commentary and next steps. Act as the primary operator for paid media delivery, managing client requests and keeping issues visible to leadership. Run regular checks to monitor performance, budgets and pacing. Use AI tools to speed up analysis, reporting and ideation where appropriate. Contribute to sprint delivery by surfacing paid media tasks into the backlog, raising blockers early and maintaining visibility in stand-ups. Liaise with platform partners and support requirements needed to maintain partner programme status. Stay up to date with platform changes, features and paid media trends, identifying relevant opportunities to improve performance. Support creative or content creation with keyword insights, audience signals and messaging considerations. Support tracking and measurement by flagging issues and validating key events with analytics/engineering colleagues. Work closely with account managers and senior leadership to communicate updates, risks and opportunities clearly. Contribute confidently to client calls with clear updates on tactical performance, risks and upcoming actions. Provide light oversight on Fridays or weekends as needed to address urgent performance issues.

What We're Looking For



You're a hands-on paid media specialist who can run campaigns with autonomy, maintain high QA standards, spot issues early, and communicate clearly with clients and internal leaders.

Specifically, you should be able to:

Deliver reliable day-to-day campaign execution across major paid platforms. Keep budgets, pacing and KPIs stable within agreed thresholds. Identify performance patterns and turn them into practical optimisations and tests. Minimise errors and rework through strong QA and attention to detail. Produce clear tactical reporting and explain what's happening and what's next. Escalate tracking or conversion-quality issues early so campaigns can optimise effectively. Use internal tools, scripts or AI workflows to improve speed without compromising quality. Operate comfortably in sprint-based delivery with clear task visibility and blocker management. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits



Salary: 37k to 45k per year, depending on experience.
