The Opportunity



We are looking for a Paint Coatings Coordinator to join us at Devonport to support the Coatings team by overseeing and facilitating all support systems that enable the success of paint team. You will play a key support role within the management team, ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and execution of industrial paint and protective coating operations.

How you will make an impact



Develop and maintain comprehensive RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) documentation to support safe and compliant paint operations across all projects. Assist in the ongoing management and accuracy of the Paint Training Matrix, ensuring operatives' certifications and training records are up to date and aligned with project requirements. Support the recruitment process for paint operatives, including coordination with HR, scheduling interviews, and ensuring timely onboarding in line with operational needs. Coordinate with the Stores and Logistics team to facilitate the timely procurement and hire and delivery of plant and equipment, ensuring all resources meet project specifications and schedules. Utilise and update the QuickBase operating system to support paint operations, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and tracking of operational metrics. Provide administrative support to Paint Team Supervisors, assisting with compliance to KAEFER policies and procedures, along with the completion of company CD documentation to the correct standards. Be a lead sponsor of the Dayworks process within the paint operations team, ensuring accurate and timely daily capture and reporting of downtime, variations, and operational impact. Support paint agency operations, tracking agency staff availability, annual leave, and compliance with mandatory training and site requirements. Provide administrative assistance for the Plant and Equipment Yard, maintaining records, coordinating equipment logistics, and supporting inventory accuracy.

What you will bring



Existing DBS check and security clearances Good hand skills with experience examples Knowledge of industrial paint industry, warship/submarine platforms/Devonport dockyard Experience of working within industrial Services Sector Ability to adapt / improve / problem solve / overcome Focused on maintaining high levels of health & safety for yourself & others. Full UK driving license CSCS card would also be advantageous
