We are recruiting Painters and Decorators in the Newport, Cwmbran, Cardiff and surrounding areas.

About us:

Davies Contractors Ltd is a privately-owned building and maintenance company based in Newport. We undertake all aspects of building work from private builds to specialising in planned and responsive works for local authorities, housing associations, and commercial properties. We currently work with clients across South Wales and the South West of England.

Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking Painters and decorators in Newport and surrounding areas to join our company to carry out planned Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment works, social housing, property refurbishment.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

The successful applicants will be qualified painter, reliable, diplomatic and pro-active with good all-round knowledge and experience in the general building trades. We are keen to receive applications from those who have experience in Social and or Local Authority housing on planned Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment contracts. Applicants who do not have all of this experience can still apply.

The right candidates will be able to work well both unsupervised and as part of a team will have a valid CSCS card (or willing to work towards) and a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities in addition to roles:

Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken e.g., completing daily worksheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job;
Ensuring that Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices are adhered to at all times, in accordance with all technical standards;
To build positive working relationships with clients and ensure that all work is completed to a satisfactory level;
