Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services for both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and have hands-on experience with various painting methods. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Must have own tools, PPE and transport. Must have blue CSCS card

Duties

Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision and skill. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including caulking Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements. Apply knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate colors for their spaces. Perform restoration work on existing structures to enhance their appearance. Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects, ensuring quality workmanship throughout. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.

Requirements

Proven experience in residential and commercial painting, with a portfolio showcasing previous work. Strong understanding of construction estimating and basic math skills for measuring areas accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during projects. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous maintenance person experience is beneficial but not required.
