Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design, demonstrating both technical proficiency and an eye for detail. This role requires effective communication skills to understand client needs and deliver high-quality finishes in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select appropriate materials and techniques based on the project requirements. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete projects efficiently. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during the painting process.

Experience

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or in a similar role is preferred. Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience in driving is an advantage for transporting materials to various job sites. Proficiency in various painting techniques and knowledge of different types of paints and finishes is essential. A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 17.00-18.00 per hour
