The Role of Painter & Decorator

We have an opportunity for a

Painter & Decorator

to join the team to keep the hotel looking its best as we act as custodians of a unique and beautiful building built in 1872. The

Painter & Decorator

will be responsible for working in partnership with Maintenance Manager and the wider team to ensure that the hotel is in a great condition and supports making a memorable experience for our guests.


The successful candidate will be an expert in painting, wall paper application and surface preperation across all hotel areas. The candidate will be dynamic and deliver great results in a timely manner.A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the hotel is looking well cared for and that all tasks are carried out to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and that the hotel is welcoming for all our guests and team.


The role of

Painter & Decorator

will report to the Maintenance Manager, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about using their skills and making a difference and delivering a great service in terms of maintenance but also great customer service.


This role is ideal for someone who has strong painting & decorating experience skills with great communication and time management who is able to work under their own initiative.

Job Overview:

As a Painter & Decorator, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the hotel's appearance, ensuring a high standard of presentation and ambiance for guests. Your responsibilities will include painting, wallpapering, and general decorative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience as a painter & decorator, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting. Strong knowledge of painting techniques, wallpaper application, and surface preparation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship. Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
