Overview

We are seeking a self-employed, time-served Painter & Decorator to join our team on various ongoing projects throughout Scotland and potentially the rest of the UK. The ideal candidate will always aim for a high-quality finish, to the best of our their abilities.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select appropriate materials and colours based on client specifications and project requirements. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to safety regulations and best practices. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driving licence and own transport essential for travelling to various job sites. Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Mileage will be renumerated and all materials will be provided. We would like to find an individual with whom we can work with on several different projects, all across Scotland and the rest of the UK on an ad-hoc basis, depending on your availability. A good standard of accommodation will be provided where required. Our work tends to be commercial rather than domestic.
