We are recruiting Painters at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Full Time/Fixed term for 18 Months

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Asset and Maintenance Team.

We pay an attractive salary of 27,711 - 30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Caerphilly Homes maintain over 10,600 homes within the Caerphilly Borough providing a customer focused reactive and planned service and are now looking to expand the team.

You will become part of a dynamic team delivering reactive repairs/planned maintenance works to our homes.

The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, evidence you have the relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate a good sound knowledge of building maintenance, good communication skills, a dynamic approach to the role and be able to lead by example.

For the role, we ask that you have:

Completed a recognised time served apprenticeship and/or completion of an accredited Building Craft Training scheme. and/or NVQ Level 2 qualification in an appropriate trade. Knowledge of relevant Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety issues relating to the post. Relevant experience within a repairs, maintenance, refurbishment or new build environment. A Full Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle (van.)
