Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests while supervising kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective food preparation and service. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.

Skills

Proficient in food production techniques with a strong emphasis on food safety practices. Excellent culinary skills with experience in various cooking styles and cuisines. Strong supervisory skills, capable of leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Knowledgeable in hospitality standards, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both food preparation and presentation. Passionate about cooking and continuously seeking to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
