SH Solicitors is a dynamic and expanding legal firm specialising in immigration, family and, civil litigation. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality legal services tailored to the diverse needs of our client base. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to recruit a Foreign Lawyer or Paralegal with Kurdish language skills and immigration law experience to join our team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to assist in delivering expert immigration legal services to our Kurdish-speaking clients. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to develop their UK legal experience within a supportive and fast-paced firm.

Key Responsibilities

Assist solicitors with a broad range of immigration casework (asylum, human rights, appeals, etc.) Conduct legal research and draft representations, witness statements, and other immigration-related documents Liaise with clients in Kurdish and English Attend client consultations, take detailed instructions, and assist in case preparation Maintain accurate client records and case progression updates Translate legal documents and client correspondence between English and Kurdish Support senior lawyers with ongoing caseload and administrative duties
Essential Requirements

Fluent in Kurdish and English (spoken and written) Minimum 1 year of immigration law experience (in the UK or abroad) Excellent legal drafting and client-facing skills Right to work in the UK (we do offer visa sponsorship) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable

Prior experience working with vulnerable clients (asylum seekers, refugees, etc.) Ability to work independently and as part of a team
