DWF is seeking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Paralegal to join our Major Injury and Casualty team in Leeds.



Our specialist insurance team includes a large renowned Catastrophic and Major Injury Team, who specialises in complex and major injury claims and advice.



As a Paralegal, you will support our legal team in delivering high-quality services to our clients and your success will be rewarded with progression opportunities that will see you grow from strength to strength.

Responsibilities:

To assist fee earners and support our qualified individuals with the progression of cases through the litigation process, including assisting with disclosure, witness and expert evidence and preparing for trials/JSMs. To act as a trusted member of the team whilst taking responsibility of tasks, including updating files, reviewing confidential records and, liaising with third parties. Engage with clients and other stakeholders to gather and organise information. Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the legal team. Action cases in line with the department's and client's service standards and protocols


What will help you succeed in this role? :

Essential



A real interest in

EL/PL, RTA, personal injury

or

catastrophic injury cases

, preferably with previous experience. The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines. Basic to intermediate IT and keyboard skills with knowledge of Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility, willingness to learn on the job and to participate in learning and development opportunities. Excellent administration and organisational skills. Ability to work to set deadlines and service levels. High attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data.
