Role overview



Support the in-house legal team with legal, compliance, and administrative tasks across all FRP service lines, working closely with Legal Counsel to ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities



Draft, review and amend legal documents including NDAs, engagement letters, supplier contracts and recruitment agency terms Assist with maintaining and developing centralised legal templates Support the legal team in reviewing client documentation and advising on proposed changes to standard terms Assist with FCA-related compliance tasks including Regdata submissions and Connect applications Support the classification of regulated and unregulated mandates and client types Help maintain insider lists and compliance manuals Provide support on ICAEW ethical and compliance matters Assist with data protection issues including Subject Access Requests, Records of Processing Activities, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), maintaining ICO registrations and breach reporting Maintain accurate records of legal activities and compliance reports Provide support on the development of company policies and administration of the Policy Management System Liaise with internal stakeholders across service lines to ensure legal alignment Help maintain supplier management processes and input into the development of related policies and processes Contribute to the development of internal training materials on legal and compliance topics Stay up to date with regulatory changes and legal best practices


Qualifications

Qualifications



Law degree or equivalent legal qualification Previous experience in a legal or paralegal role, ideally within professional services or financial advisory Strong understanding of legal terminology, document drafting and compliance frameworks Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g. LexisNexis, Westlaw) Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on attitude and a willingness to contribute across different areas of the business where required Experience supporting FCA-regulated entities (desirable) Familiarity with Corporate Finance and professional services environments (desirable) Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
