Job Description

Based at our EMEA Headquarters in Paddington, London, the Paralegal will provide support to the Legal & Compliance function and report to the Head of Legal & Compliance for EMEA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career legal professional to gain exposure to a broad range of legal, corporate, and compliance activities within a leading organisation in the energy sector.



The successful candidate will assist in maintaining high standards of legal governance, document control, and compliance management across multiple jurisdictions, while also supporting the department's ongoing digital, regulatory, and process efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



Support the drafting, review, and formatting of legal documents, including NDAs and commercial agreements. Maintain and update document registers, internal SharePoint pages, and other document management systems. Assist with corporate governance activities, including board documentation, filings, and record-keeping. Coordinate e-signing and document execution processes (e.g., DocuSign). Provide support on compliance projects, including policy updates, training coordination, and customer/vendor screening. Conduct legal and regulatory research and prepare summaries for internal use. Contribute to internal process improvements and the standardisation of legal workflows across EMEA. Manage larger projects, including coordination, progress tracking and liaising with stakeholders and other business functions.

About You



Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) and/or a recognised paralegal qualification. A minimum of two years' experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, obtained in the power and energy industry or through corporate work in a large international company or law firm. Excellent project management, time management and organisation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially in Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail, communication and writing skills. Proactive, professional, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative international team. Handles sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion. Knowledge or experience of UK and European data protection laws and regulations (this is desirable, but not essential).
