What is the opportunity?




The Global Asset Management (GAM) legal team is looking to staff a Paralegal role located in London supporting RBC BlueBay's investment management business.

What will you do?



Support and assist on a variety of legal matters concerning RBC BlueBay's investment management business, including but not limited to: Monitoring regulatory developments, producing a monthly regulatory report and related board and committee packs, and coordinating with the business to compile relevant updates and responses; Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of client agreements, such as rebate, distribution and platform agreements; Assisting in the review of a range of other commercial agreements; Support responses to client due diligence and RFPs; Providing initial research and support on legal issues related to business initiatives; Assist in managing documentation and signing for certain transaction closings; Maintain repositories for a range of documents including executed agreements.

What do you need to succeed?



Must-have



Basic understanding or willingness to develop knowledge of UK and EU legal and regulatory matters relevant to asset management. Demonstrate a proactive and enthusiastic approach to tasks, while maintaining attention to detail and a methodical mindset. Set high standards of performance for self and strive to meet objectives. Act with integrity and within both the spirit and the letter of RBC BlueBay's principles, policies and procedures. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm and professional under pressure. Consider own role within the commercial context and focus on the client. Respect obligations to internal and external clients and investors and treats clients fairly.

Nice-to-have



Some prior experience in financial services in particular in asset management would be advantageous. Prior experience in a Paralegal or similar role would be advantageous. Additional language skills.
