Job Description

We are looking for a experienced Senior Social Worker to step up into a management position within our Patenting Assessment Centre based on the outskirts of Malvern.

You will manage a small caseload of around 5 families allowing you the time to build relationships with both the families and colleagues within a supportive and stable team.

Duties

Manage and coordinate the assessment process for children requiring assessment and support services. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of children and their families. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including educational institutions, healthcare providers, and community organisations, to facilitate effective referrals. Leading and managing a small team of social workers, each carrying a caseload focused on long term family support. Presenting clear and confident statements and court evidence when required. Maintain accurate records of assessments, referrals, and outcomes to ensure compliance with organisational standards. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of referral pathways and assessment processes, making recommendations for improvements as necessary. Serve as a point of contact for families seeking assistance, providing guidance and support throughout the referral process.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a relevant setting is essential. Strong understanding of assessment frameworks and referral processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England (SWE) Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams or projects. Experience in specialist PAM's assessments and the application of psychodynamic frameworks. Experience in providing court evidence
