We're dRAW Architecture - an award-winning London studio built on curiosity, creativity and craft. From elegant homes to imaginative commercial spaces, we design with purpose and personality.
We're small enough that everyone's voice counts, but big enough to make real impact. You won't be stuck red-lining in the corner, you'll be sketching, designing, collaborating, learning and laughing with a tight-knit team who love what they do.
Our studio buzzes with ideas, coffee and conversation, a place where ambition meets mentorship and no two days are ever the same.
The role
We're looking for a bright, design-minded Part I Architectural Assistant ready to dive in and get their hands (and models) dirty. This is your chance to work on live projects from day one, from concept sketches and design reviews to detailed drawings and site visits.
You'll be part of a creative, supportive team that values initiative, celebrates detail and gives you space to grow. Think of this as your launchpad into professional life, a chance to shape buildings and your career at the same time.
At dRAW, you won't just assist. You'll contribute, experiment, and develop real architectural muscle.
What you'll do
Contribute to concept design, feasibility studies and planning packages
Produce clear 2D drawings and compelling 3D visuals/models
Prepare presentation material and reports
Support technical detailing and coordination with consultants and contractors
Join site visits, take minutes and help keep projects moving
Log professional experience (PEDR) and build momentum toward Part II
What you bring
RIBA Part I (or equivalent) and a drive to progress to Part II
Competence across core tools (CAD/BIM and Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp/Revit familiarity a plus)
A sharp design eye, curiosity about sustainability and detail, and tidy, thoughtful drawings
Confident communication - written, visual and verbal, and a collaborative mindset
A concise portfolio that shows design thinking, process and craft
Why dRAW Architecture
A supportive, energetic team that backs your growth with mentoring and real responsibility
Live projects in a studio that values craft, clarity and ideas
Competitive Part I package: 24k starting salary, 25 days' holiday, sick pay and benefits
South West London location - close to the river, transport and a lively neighbourhood scene
