Overview

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic

Cafe Manager

to join our extended family and lead our busy, fun-loving cafe. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love coffee, and enjoy fostering a positive team culture, this could be the role for you!

This position is part-time with hours ranging from 21-28 hours per week, including 2 weekends out of every 4.

PLEASE NOTE: Prior management experience in a cafe or hospitality environment is required.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during all shifts. Lead, train, and support a team of baristas and cafe staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Maintain high standards of product quality and customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience. Manage inventory and ordering to ensure sufficient stock without waste. Prepare and serve beverages at a high standard when required, acting as a role model during peak times. Handle customer feedback and resolve issues with professionalism and care. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly upheld. Assist in planning and implementing cafe promotions, seasonal menus, and community-focused events. Oversee cash handling and daily financial reconciliations.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a managerial role in a cafe or similar environment. Fully trained barista with a strong knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso equipment. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team. Strong time management and multitasking abilities, especially during peak hours. Understanding of food safety regulations and experience managing compliance. Basic financial knowledge for overseeing budgets, ordering, and cash handling. A proactive, customer-focused attitude with a passion for creating welcoming spaces.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 per week
