Job Description

As Finance Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping our Finance team run smoothly. You'll support the day-to-day financial processes that keep MVS ticking from processing invoices and payments to handling customer queries and keeping our records up to date.

This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys structure and is looking to develop their finance skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

You'll work closely with the Senior Finance Officer and Head of Finance & HR, and be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities



Enter and process overhead and service-related purchase invoices using Sage Line 50. Process Sales Orders, generate and send customer sales invoices including deposit, final, and maintenance and service invoices. Manage credit control activities, including issuing statements and following up on overdue accounts. Respond to routine customer queries professionally and escalate more complex cases when necessary. Monitor and manage the accounts email inbox, print invoices and flag or redirect queries to the appropriate team members. Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with ad hoc financial reporting tasks. Maintain well-organised digital and paper filing systems for finance documentation. Upload updates to SharePoint and internal financial trackers.

Experience



Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role. Familiarity with accounting software (Sage Line 50) is advantageous but full training will be provided. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail Excellent numerical ability and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team A recognised qualification in finance, accounting, or related field is a plus but not mandatory
