Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for flowers and plants, along with the ability to design beautiful arrangements that meet customer needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, both in English and ideally in Spanish or other languages, to effectively engage with a diverse clientele. The Florist will play a key role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our shop while providing exceptional customer service.

Duties

Create stunning floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events. Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that suit their needs and preferences. Maintain an organised inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels. Sell floral products and provide knowledgeable advice on care and maintenance of flowers and plants. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and offer personalised solutions. Keep the shop clean, tidy, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience. Stay updated on current floral trends and techniques to continually improve design skills.

Skills

Proficient in selling floral products with a strong customer service orientation. Excellent organisational skills to manage inventory and shop layout efficiently. A good understanding of gardening principles is beneficial for advising customers on plant care. Creative flair for designing unique floral arrangements that capture customer interest. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated are essentia.
