The School of Creative Arts traces its distinguished history back to 1852 when the Cheltenham School of Art was established. Today, as one of the four constituent Schools in the University of Gloucestershire, the School of Creative Arts currently has over 2300 students and offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as Postgraduate Study & PhD's





Subjects offered by the School of Creative Arts includes, Humanities, Journalism, Film & TV, Art & Design, Performing Arts, Photography, and Architecture, Construction & Environment. We are looking for individuals to join us who have specialisms in the following areas and with the expertise listed-




BA Games Design -.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial game design and production across platforms such as mobile, PC, and consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo), and demonstrate deep knowledge of industry-standard tools including Unity, Unreal, Adobe suite, Engine, C#, Blueprints, Houdini, 3ds Max, GitHub, and project management software.





They should be proficient in game development pipelines, from concept and narrative design to source control and rapid prototyping, including Game Jams. A strong understanding of game narratives, lore creation, scripting, and the wider cultural and social contexts of gaming is desirable.




BA Interior Design

- An experienced practitioner or professional in any of the following interior design settings: residential, commercial, hotel and hospitality, set design, retail design, surface design, workplace design, space planning, health care, or digital visualisation specialisms. Proven track record within the professional or academic Interior design field




BA & MA Landscape Architecture

- We are seeking individuals with expertise in strategic landscape planning, settlement design, planning legislation and impact assessment to guide students in analysing sites and context using digital tools, including GIS, and in formulating strategic proposals for landscape projects at various scales. The role offers scope to engage creatively with contemporary landscape education and contribute to shaping innovative practice. A strong awareness of current debates, sustainable practice, and contemporary landscape architecture is essential.




BA Photography -

The ideal candidate for this role will be an adaptable and experienced practitioner in Photojournalism

and/or Documentary Photography, possessing knowledge and experience of photo book making and narrative development or with landscape photography within the United Kingdom.





The role offers the opportunity to aid students in the understanding of how their work can shape opinion on issues within contemporary Britian, and the value of their work within the context of a freelance career in photography.





Individuals applying for these roles will possess a future-focused approach and comprehensive understanding of contemporary industry practice, a good knowledge of sustainable working practices in their field, as well as experience and understanding of the requirements of the industry.





Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required, along with a flexible, self-motivated approach, and a commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Willingness to travel and engage with students, academic teams, and industry partners is expected in all departments.
